Well for those of you who knew Brayden was supposed to have surgery on his thumb tomorrow. And for those of you who did not know we found out Brayden has trigger thumb in both his left & right thumb. We did not realize this until he fell and his left thumb was locked in a bent position. After having Nurse Holly look at it at Susie's we took him to the doctor and after a few opinions, surgery was the option, otherwise his thumb will not grow right. They say it is a minor surgery, but they have to be put to sleep and then probably the hardest part is that his arm will be somehow tied to his chest for a week. They just go in and release that tendon in the thumb. I thought oh my I can't imagine if my child had something major wrong.....and a lady I work with has a son(my age) and she said when he was 2 he broke his collar bone and had his arm like that for 6 weeks. So I told myself it definitely could be a lot worse. So I was already for this surgery tomorrow.........
WHEN
I fixed him his dinner this evening...he just looked at his plate without eating and said I am done. I thought well this is weird...he always eats!!! I thought well he has to eat something now, because he can not have anything in the morning. So I thought ok this once I will give in and fix something different....so mac& cheese every kids fav. No he was done, not hungry. Then I thought humm...he feels warm....well he has been wrestling with Dad & I. Called Susie.....he loves snacks....maybe he had several snacks this afternoon and that is why he is not hungry. Which I did not think that is what it was. While I am talking to Susie, Clint takes his temp. 101.3!!!! Great we have surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30 and have to be there at 6:30! So I called his surgeon and he called back and said no we better not do surgery tomorrow. Which I am glad that is the case, but disappointed to not get this behind us. So hopefully Brayden does not get real sick...not sure what is wrong with him so probably will be going to the ped. dr. tomorrow. His surgeon said we will just reschedule....so I will keep you updated. I told Clint well I guess I could work on Potty Training next week like I had planned before this surgery came up. I am also on vacation next week...so it was going to work out perfect. Oh well...Clint said this boy hardly ever gets sick except New Year's Eve and the night before his surgery. I really think he kept hearing Mom talk about the surgery and thought this is the only way out!!!!!!!
p.s. not sure if that is how you spell syked???

What at bummer!!! We were so nervous for you guys just because even a minor surgery on your baby is scary. Now you have to anticipate it again.
Hope he is feeling better soon.
Hopefully he gets to feeling better soon! We're thinking of you guys.
Thanks Guys! It is a bummer, oh well. I did take him to the doctor this morning. He cried this morning saying his mouth hurt. He was tested for strep, but it was negative. So hopefully he will kick this soon.
That stinks! I hope Brayden is feeling better!! Keep us updated!!
