My sitter....well Brayden's sitter emailed several people to see what kind of vacum cleaner they had. Does anyone have a really good upright vacuum that they would recommend, She is thinking of getting one but she does not know which one to go with, She bought one about a year ago and she hates it..She got a rainbow but does not like messing with it...If you know of a good one let me know by leaving a comment.......By now she may have already purchased one. I thought it would be a good survey...last year I bought this canister vacum. I just wish it had a longer hose and I always think what will my next vacum cleaner be????
So leave a comment to help out Susie and for anyone else thinking about purchasing a new vacum.
Anyone can leave a comment even if you do not have a blog account, just leave it under anonymous....

Well...we recently purchased a Kirby. I really like it. It does a great job compared to our old vacuum. It is heavy...if you have to hoist it anywhere. I don't at this point, but that's the only negative thing I can think of. Oh, and that it has a tall base, so if I try to fit it underneath things, like our china cabinet, it doesn't always fit. I used to have a VERY old rainbow. I like this much better. I didn't like messing with the water either. Oh, and Gavin loves it...he actually vacuums for me quite a bit.
Hey Thanks!!!
I have had lots of comments, now I still don't know which to pick, here are some Dyson animal, Hoover wind tunnel, Bissell healthy, and Kirby, kinda thinking the hoover wind tunnel, but have not purchased anything yet...HELP!!
Jeremy bought me a Dyson to replace a Hoover for our anniversay a few years ago and I LOVE it! It's lightweight which is good because we have a lot of stairs. It does a great job and you don't have to mess with bags. It's very easy to use the attachments for baseboards and hard to reach areas too.
The Hoover was too heavy for me to push (especially when I was pregnant!)
Good luck with your decision!
No offense to Renee, but I had a bagless before the hoover wind tunnel and I won't go back to bagless, it could have just been mine, but a huge pain in the ass to clean out that canister. Felt like I was just putting the dirt somewhere else when trying to get it empty, it would fly everywhere. And my hoover is self-propelled, so easy to push but a bit on the heavy side.
I have another friend with a dyson who loves it too.
I love my Oreck!
I know someone that has an oreck and they love it. I had a Hoover wind tunnel, didn't like it so much. I now have a Sears upright, it's ok although heavy, but it does have an xtra long attachment hose. Gee maybe I just don't like to vaccum!!
I have a Kirby, too, and it is a heavy bastard. You bruise your ankles when carrying it up or down stairs. It really does have sucking power, though, so that's cool. When it dies, I'm interested in the Dyson ball one. It looks cool on TV and you know the TV doesn't lie. :)
