Laundry Tip

Here is a Laundry Tip for the week!

Did you know that Baby Powder can take out a grease/oil stain? I went out to eat this summer with some friends and had to get the onion straws!! Yes, I know they are bad for you, but oh so good!!!! I am a messy eater and some had fallen on my lap and missed the napkin, I had laying there. So I searched on the internet how to get it out, because I already had a grease spot on there from before. The capri pants were my favorite and washing had not taken it out. So even if they have been washed and dried you can use the baby powder. You just sprinkle the baby powder on the stain and rub it in. I then let it set there overnight and wash it the next day and it is GONE!

When I use the fry daddy which is not very often, I had used it in the garage and had forgotten to bring it in the house. When I was not home, Clint was doing something outside and Brayden found the fry daddy and I guess decided to take a bath. So I thought GREAT, how am I going to get this stain out!! Oh Yah, the baby powder.....it was worth a try! He had several large stains on his shirt and shorts and the stains came out!!

So next time you get a oil/grease stain.....try BABY POWDER!

Sorry no before and after pics!

So does anybody else out there have some great laundry tips!!!

My laundry tip is: Let your husband do his own laundry! I don't want poison ivy from his work clothes. So I wonder if baby powder will get out bird poop. Alexis & I were riding the bike under our trees and a bird nailed my favorite capri pants. I have tried stain stick and soaked them a bunch, but you can still see the nasty purple stain.

What a mess!! So glad to hear that the baby powder got out the oil spots. Thanks for the tip-I'm always ruining clothes that way.
I'm loving this blogging thing already! It's so much fun to hear what's going on with you guys. It does seem that Brayden and Ben are into the same things. Ben has a radar on him that points him into the direction of mischief. But then he'll say something so sweet that you can't even be mad at him.

Vivid takes out blood. I know what you all may be thinking. And I know this doesn't happen often, but as a nurse I get a lot of blood stains. Also chad picked a scab and we had little blood splotches all over our sheets, vivid is what you need. I also think it is the best on grass stains and I sure have alot of those at my house.
