Canceling As The World Turns!!!!

I just can't believe they are canceling one of my favorite soap operas!!! They first canceled Guiding Light now As The World Turns!!! I am truly upset about this. I can't even tell ya how long I have watched them. I can remember in Kindergarten waiting for the afternoon school bus and my Mom would be watching Y & R. Every time I hear that theme music it takes me back to that and my Mom would be cutting a pattern out on the floor. She made a lot of our clothes back then..... My Mom was a stay at home Mom which I soooo appreciate now. I think of always having a breakfast made for us in the morning and coming home....we might get some home baked cookies. Just always knowing that she was there. I so wish that is something I could do for my children.....ok back to the ATWT cancellation!!!

I guess that is why soap operas for some crazy reason hold dear to me....I have always taped, but now DVR my ATWT show. I have been home since the end of October waiting on these babies....that is what I look forward to everyday. They replaced Guiding Light with this quacky game show "Let's Make a Deal". I feel bad for the actors and the crew to think how they feel that they were replaced with this crazy game show.....and what will replace ATWT

The show will not end until September 2010, but daytime television is not going to be the same!!

I have started watching this new websoap Gotham that is put together by the 1st Lily "Martha Byrne" from ATWT. They have had only 2 episodes and not very long, but lots of old-great soap opera actors/actresses on there. So if your a soap nut like me check it out.....
