My niece Madelyn was chosen as May Day Queen of her Kindergarten class. On Thurs. night they had cornation and K-6th grade picks a Grade School King & Queen and then there is a Junior High and High School also. Well my Sis had told Madelyn "Don't be disappointed if you don't get queen, because you probably will not, but Hey you were Queen of your class and that is really neat!" Madelyn just flashed her one of her cute smiles!
Then she did get picked as Queen of the grade school and I guess as Madelyn was walking off the stage she told the grade school principal(who was helping her walk down the steps) My Mom said I wouldn't WIN!!!!
I think this picture is too cute...The flowers are as big as she is!!!
Brayden has always thought Maddy was a queen!! When she was getting ready for the parade on Friday...we were at Grandma's and Grandma was fixing her hair for her. Brayden said "Where is her crown"??? "I want to give it to her!!" It was so darn cute!! I think he was as excited for her as his Mom was!

Of course I was a little camera happy! I remember my 2nd grade year I chosen queen of my class, it was my birthday that week, May Day Parade, and my first communion. I was so excited.....maybe that is why I always want to celebrate my birthday for a week or longer!!!!
