Trash Talk----Rated R

Wonder why I have a picture of two bags of TRASH on my sidewalk??? A few weeks ago I went on a walk on our road and as I was walking...I noticed all the trash along the road. The further I walked the more pissed off(sorry mom) I became!!!!

Inspired by my friend Ross, I decided the next time I went walking I would pick up the trash. I told Clint I thought I would probably need him to pick me up half way through with the truck. I usually walk about 3 miles and he just laughed like "Oh Sara!!" I have walked a few times since then and it was to windy to carry a trash bag. So last Friday I thought ok I am going to take 2 trash bags...one for paper, plastic crap and one for cans. You know how far I got before I got those 2 bags full........Not even a freaking 1/4 of a mile and that is just walking 1 side of the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live not far from a drinking establishment...so I excepted lots of cans, but NOT like a Lean Cuisine box, Kraft macaroni microwaveable container and I could go on. OK.....WHO out there eats that in their car???????

Why don't they just keep the trash until they get home and then throw it in their own yard or better yet...put it in the trash can! So I will let you know how many trash bags I fill up before I make it through my 3 mile walk. I am sure people driving down our road seeing me carrying 2 trash bags full of trash wondered what the hell I was doing?

The world could be a beautiful place if everyone did there part.

Bless your heart for picking up the trash..I can't imagine how much you will get in 3 miles, maybe Clint will be a sweetheart and help you....
Hope Brayden is feeling better!!!

You are going to save the planet 1 person at a time. Just kidding - I don't understand littering either. I just let all my trash pile up in the car until I can't take it anymore.

I agree with you what are people thinking!! It's not like there are not any trash cans around...take it home or get rid of it at the gas station!!

Amen sister!!! And yah you for taking the initiative to help out our beautiful county. Good point, who eats that crap in their car???
I am with Mary and Teri, there is a trash can almost everywhere you stop, espesially if is your house, and I just let it pile up in the passenger side floor board until I get tired of it.

I did the same thing about a month ago. I just took a 5 gallon bucket and walked on one side of the road to the fence row. The bucket was so full that I started to crush the cans so they would all fit. I was planning on walking back the other side of the road, but didn't have enough room for more trash. Pete was burning sticks so I put all of the burnable stuff in the fire. I had a large plastic bottle of Vodka with some still in the bottom. It really made the fire burn well!

I agree with you 100%. It really ticks me off to see all the trash people throw out their window too. Sara, you have inspires me to see how much trash is down our road. I usually just walk about a mile. But I think I'll post on my blog how much I come up with. Hey, anyboday else want to give it a try?

First of all, I was cracking up when I read this because I could just picture you telling this story!! You are so sweet!! It is actually very sad how much trash is along the road. Luckily, we have weeds between us and the main road or it would be in our yard. However, no more traveled than our road gets it usually has trash on it. Keep up the good work!!
